Everton

Manager: David Moyes

Chairman: Bill Kenwright

Everton's most widely recognised nickname is "The Toffees" or "The Toffeemen", which came about, according to one prevelant explanation, due to a nearby business called Mother Nobletts Toffee Shop advertising and selling sweets on matchdays, including the Everton Mint.  This also led to the Toffee Lady tradition, where a girl walks around the pitch on matchdays throwing Everton Mints into the crowd.  Another possible explanation for their name is that of the old meeting house for the club, called Ye Ancient Everton Toffee House.

Everton have the record for being the team that have survived longest in top flight football, having spent an enormous 102 seasons there as of the start of the 07/08 season.  With talented manager David Moyes at the helm, this looks like a record that won't be changing any time soon.

Everton`s star player of the Premier League

Duncan Ferguson has been chosen for Everton`s star player because he was a player through out the Premiership was one of the best target men around. Duncan Ferguson was a player that as a defender was very awkward to defend against, he was a fantastic header of the ball and won more headers than he lost.

Ferguson was very influencial in the FA Cup success when Everton beat Manchester United in 1995.He was more known for his heading ability but was also a very good footballer.

Duncan Ferguson was a very controversial player with his discipline much to be desired has he was sent of on a number of occasions and was in trouble with the law on several occasions and spent time in jail but he was still a well established footballer and the Everton fans respected what Duncan Ferguson did for the club.
