Manchester United
Eric Cantona, known as 'The King, or le King' by the adoring Man Utd fans, and still a regular feature of stadium chants, was the first player born outside of the UK or Ireland to captain Manchester United. The longest serving captain at present was Bryan Robson, whilst Roy Keane is the most successful captain in terms of trophies.
Sir Bobby Charlton is still the player with most appearances for Manchester United, playing a staggering 759 times. Although Ryan Giggs is fast catching, currently having played well over 700 times for the Red Devils himself.
Bobby Charlton also holds the record for goals scored, with an astonishing 249 from midfield! In comparison, his two closest contenders for this accollade are Ryan Giggs on 142 at the time of writing, and Paul Scholes on 138.

Manchester United`s star player of the Premier League
Eric Cantona has been chosen for Manchester United`s star status of the Premier League because Cantona was not only a world class player for Manchester United but was also with out doubt an all time great up there with former Manchester United greats as George Best, Bobby Charlton, and Dennis Law. The legend known as King Eric by the Manchester Unitef faithful had such creativity, he seen things other players didnt, a pass very rarely went astray, on the ball their wasn`t many players that could match him.
Eric Cantona was a class act, he was the most influentional player as Manchester United won Premier League after Premier League also won other trophies scoring the winner in an FA Cup Final against arch rivals Liverpool. It wasn`t always plain sailing for Eric Cantona, he had so many controversial moments but his most famous coming against Crystal Palace at selhurst park, he was sent off but he didnt go quietly has he went over to the Crystal Palace fans and kicked a Palace fan in the head and was sentanced to community service.
A year later he returned against Liverpool and typically scored in a 2-2 draw. King Eric was back, and back to his best. The legend of Eric Cantona will never be forgotten, because he was an amazing player and brilliant to watch. Yes he was arragant but Eric Cantona could back it up with Football.
